An employee at Logix Federal Credit Union’s Saugus location has tested positive for COVID-19, otherwise known as the coronavirus, officials confirmed Monday.
On Saturday, March 28, officials with Logix Federal Credit Union were notified that an employee at their Saugus location on the 26400 block of Bouquet Canyon Road had tested positive for the coronavirus.
“We are following all local and state guidance and taking necessary measures to prevent the spread of the virus,” said Logix president and CEO Ana E. Fonseca in a statement. “In addition to the precautionary measures we have had in place since February, we are deep-cleaning and sanitizing this branch to prevent any further spread of COVID-19.”
The employee reportedly last worked at the location on March 20, and is currently recovering at home. Additionally, the branch location has been temporarily closed.
“As soon as the branch has been fully cleaned and sanitized, we intend to reopen this location and continue providing you with the exceptional experience that you expect from Logix,” Fonseca said.
Fonseca urged any residents who had been to the Bouquet Canyon branch between March 6 and March 20 to follow CDC-recommended self-monitoring guidelines, and to call their healthcare provider right away if they develop any symptoms.
“Those Logix team members that were in direct contact with the employee are currently at home under a 14-day self-quarantine, and they continue to be paid during this time,” Fonseca said.
