Gerard Cosmetics Continues Providing Beauty Supplies Despite Coronavirus Shutdown

Although Gerard Cosmetics, headquartered in Valencia, might be impacted by the coronavirus shutdown, its employees are hard at work to ensure that loyal beauty enthusiasts still receive their products.

While the warehouse and offices of Gerard Cosmetics might look like a ghost town, the business is still ongoing even through the coronavirus, COVID-19 quarantine.

“It just feels so surreal to see this place just so stagnant with no activity, I was hoping we could get through all this together and get back to normal as soon as possible,” said President and CEO Jennifer Gerard.

Originally a mobile teeth whitening service called Whitening Lightning, Gerard would travel to people’s homes and offices — and even parks, parking lots and shopping malls — to whiten her clients’ teeth on the spot.

Today, Gerard Cosmetics ships across the country and even internationally, and has a heavy social media presence with followers around the world.

Gerard feels that it is her responsibility as a business owner to continue paying her employees for as long as possible, and that requires her to keep doing business.

“This coronavirus has really knocked us for a loop, and as a business owner I feel like it is my responsibility to keep my staff working… I’m keeping everyone on the payroll,” said Gerard. “My staff is contributing to the company any way they can from home, where they are safest.”

Gerard assured that her company was doing the utmost in order to not only keep her staff and customers safe, but that orders would still be delivered.

“For customers placing orders, we are finding a way to get them out to you every day so that you can have some normalcy, you can get your makeup, your teeth whitening, and maybe just a little escape from everything that is going on in the world today.

  1. Do you send to FL? And if so what is the cost of shipping. Thanks so much.

  2. I hardly think this is an essential business.
