A wanted suspect turned himself in to law enforcement Wednesday night, several days after video footage surfaced that showed an ax-wielding man hacking a musician’s drumset to pieces before threatening him with a firearm at a Canyon Country park.
Recording his jam session on GoPro video near a trail at Todd Longshore Park in Canyon Country, the musician was able to capture a man approaching him with an ax, before threatening him with a gun off-camera.
The video, later obtained by Fox 8, immediately gained traction online, while clearly showing the suspect’s full face and license plate.
When the suspect eventually drove away from the scene, deputies received word of the incident and responded to Todd Longshore Park on Whites Canyon and Wildwind Roads in Canyon Country, according to Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“During the investigation, deputies learned while the victim was playing his portable drum set, an unknown suspect approached him carrying an ax and broke the victim’s drum set,” Arriaga said.
The man reportedly brandished a firearm at the victim while yelling.
“The suspect then entered his vehicle and drove southbound on Whites Canyon Road and out of view,” Arriaga said.
Following four days of the raw footage circulating online, Timothy Jones, 62, walked into the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station to turn himself in to law enforcement, according to Arriaga.
Jones was arrested and booked on one count of assault with a deadly weapon and one count of vandalism, both felonies, in relation to the incident.

Release him on Zero Bail! He was defending the SCV rights of peace and quiet. Drums are loud and the noise carries. He was NOT a professional musician.
He’s playing drums outside? I would go crazy, but I wouldn’t go that far. Just imagine being at home and having to listen to that noise. People nowadays are so self-centered.
Ol’ Timmy Jones doesn’t mess around…
Give it a week or so and you’ll find out there’s much more to this story.
Allegedly, of course.
If he was playing Gangster Rap or Ranchero pseudo music, it may have drove the ax man more insane!
The Axe-man cometh.
I give the video ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!
The Drummer was NOT ASSAULTED.
The drum kit was Nixed.
Axe-man marches to the beat of his own drum.
Woe to Drum-man and imposters.
Soundgarden should re-record Spoon-man as Axe-man.
“Axe-man, I’m together with your plan
Stop that Racket while you can”
The two remaining Beatles should record:
“Axe-man’s steel Axe came down upon the drums
Axe-man’s steel Axe made sure the Drums were dead”
(To the music of Maxwell’s Silver Hammer)
We should start a go-fund-me legal defense fund for Axe-Man.
Unemployed homeless bongo chimp got the Beat.
Beat-Down he deserved, that is.
Timothy is 62 years old. As you get older,
Life in prison is less and less of a deterrent.
It might just benefit his own living conditions:
Room and board for free; maybe he gets to Bend Over Martha Stewart,
That would be a good thing!
Nowadays the Simpletons call anything music & make the Hebetude’s millions! No need for a “go fund me”, just make a tape & the Sheeple will make him a “Celebrity” millionaire!
The video could be set to real music, like Axe-Man as above,
Played by real musicians that get PAID to play. Repeating the Axe-blows constantly to the sounds of bass and percussion.
That video could reinvigorate Music Videos on MTV.
