“Jackass” star Steve-O performed a dangerous stunt in Los Angeles recently, which led to him to be arrested. The star was bailed out of jail and went to Fiji very soon after.

Now, bail agents at All American Bail Bonds in Santa Clarita are explaining the process of leaving the country while on a bail bond.

Steve-O, whose real name is Stephen Glover, climbed atop a 100-foot crane in Los Angeles on Aug. 9 with an inflatable orca with the words “SeaWorld Sucks” written on the side in an attempt to advocate against SeaWorld.

Glover then shot off fireworks from the top of the crane before coming down and getting arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department.

“As soon as I got out of jail, I headed to Fiji,” said Glover on his Facebook fan page.

“This stunt brings up the question of can someone leave the country while on a bail bond,” said Inessa Chavez, vice president of All American Bail Bonds in Santa Clarita.

In order to leave the county on a bail bond, the defendant must get permission from the bail bond agency in writing before attempting to do so.

If the defendant has been given specific instructions by the court not to leave the state or country, he or she has to get the permission from the bail bond agent at All American Bail Bonds in Santa Clarita and the court before leaving.

If the defendant does not follow the instructions, he or she is subject to arrest.
