Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies are investigating a report of a Logix Credit Union robbery in Saugus Friday after a man allegedly gave the teller a note saying he had “a gun and explosives,” officials said.

Around 3 p.m., the Logix location on Bouquet Canyon Road near Newhall Ranch Road was robbed by a suspect described as a male Hispanic, about 25 years old, who then fled on foot, according to Sheriff’s officials.

“Deputies are still currently investigating the incident,” said Deputy Rathburn of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

It is unknown at this time if the suspect had any weapons, said Rathburn.

Initial reports indicate the suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction, according to Sheriff’s officials.

As of 3:30 p.m. Friday, deputies are at the scene investigating the incident.
