Detectives Continue Investigation Into Shooting Of Pregnant Woman In Santa Clarita

A pregnant woman who was shot on New Year’s Day in Santa Clarita has been released from the hospital, and detectives are continuing to investigate what led to the shooting.

On Saturday, deputies received reports of a possible shooting on the 29000 block of Florabunda Road in Canyon Country, according to Sgt. Brian Shreves with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station’s Detective Bureau.

During a family party, someone was “thrown out” and returned later, according to Shreves.

When the person returned, a fight ensued over a gun that was seen by partygoers which then went off and struck the pregnant woman in the abdomen area, according to Shreves.

The woman was rushed to the hospital, however, doctors say neither the baby nor any of the woman’s vital organs were hit by the gun fire, according to Shreves.

The injured woman has been released from the hospital, according to officials.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the shooting, and no arrests have been made as of Monday afternoon.

  1. Interesting, “the horrible gun went off”, just like the coverup of the “Wisconsin Car” that purposely sped up, aimed & rammed through and murdered innocent Christmas paraders! Society can’t solve severe problems if the truth/facts are covered up & condoned! We, especially the media, must tell The Who, what, Where, When, how & why without platitudes, euphemisms of sugar coating & cover up——how else can it be repaired with constant Liberal condoning?!

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
