Officers with the California Highway Patrol Newhall Area Office arrested an individual Tuesday afternoon for DUI and felony gun charges in Castaic during a traffic stop, officials said.
Around 4:30 p.m., CHP officers conducted a traffic stop on the southbound 5 Freeway, two miles south of Templin Highway, for a person who was allegedly driving 90 mph and showing signs of driving under the influence, said Officer Josh Greengard.
“The driver was arrested for being under the influence of alcohol,” he said.
After the suspect was taken into custody for alleged DUI, officers searched the suspect’s vehicle and located two assault rifles.
CHP officers arrested Drew Bosnich, 27, of San Pedro, and charged him with driving under the influence of alcohol and felony gun charges, Greengard said.
Bosnich was transported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station and booked with bail set at $50,000, according to arrest records.

Did the CHP press notice include the term Assault Rifle? Just wondering.
I wonder if the DUI even knew he had a evil feature rifle? Kalifornia firearms laws are so convoluted that the legislature doesn’t even know what they mean how is the average drunk suppose to understand them?
