Andrew Anthony Wallace, 52, was arrested in Lancaster on March 2 for the murder of Jose David Flores, 28, of Leggett, by prosecutors with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, said Lt. Steve Jauch with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau.
Flores was found dead in the trunk of his own Honda Accord parked on Golden Valley Road near the intersection of Robert C. Lee Parkway at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 31, 2015.
The victim’s body was found after a Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputy noticed the vehicle parked illegally on the shoulder on Golden Valley Road while on his routine patrol, said Jauch.

“(Wallace) was arrested for the murder of the victim,” said Jauch, adding that the suspect has not been charged with murder. “The case has not been filed with the D.A.’s office yet.”
Jauch would not disclose the details about what led prosecutors to the suspect, as the investigation is ongoing.
Wallace is currently in federal custody on a “federal narcotics warrant,” said Jauch.
