Man Found Dead North Of Castaic Identified

The man found dead north of Castaic Tuesday morning has been identified.

Jesus Guzman Comsepcion, 35, from Lancaster, was identified as the person found dead in his vehicle, according to officials with the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Around 8 a.m. Tuesday, first responders received reports of an unresponsive person near the 5 Freeway south of Templin Highway, several miles north of Castaic, said Deputy Mariela Picard, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

When paramedics arrived on scene, they located Comsepcion, and pronounced him dead on arrival, Saadullah Sheikh, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department, confirmed.

Lt. Michael Modica with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau confirmed the manner of death was suicide.
