One individual was detained in relation to a robbery at a Saugus gas station Tuesday evening.

Just before 5:40 p.m. Tuesday, reports were received of a robbery at the Chevron gas station near Urbandale Avenue in Saugus.

“A man in his 20s took some items at the gas station on Bouquet Canyon,” said Shirley Miller, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station. “It was classified as robbery because the suspect used bodily force on the employee.”

The one suspect allegedly used bodily force against a gas station employee and walked off with unpaid for items, according to officials.

The suspect was later found in the surrounding area by investigating units from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s station. After a field show-up, where witnesses may identify suspects, the suspect was taken into custody.

“He was detained, and was brought into custody,” Miller added.
