One person was taken into custody Saturday afternoon after allegedly using bodily force to steal clothing from a store inside the Westfield Valencia Town Center.

At approximately 12:43 p.m. Saturday, deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to reports of robbery at the Zumiez inside the Westfield Valencia Town Center on the 24200 block of Valencia Boulevard, according to Deputy Turner with the station.

Initial reports indicate that the suspect stole clothing from the Zumiez, forcing an employee to the ground in the process, according to officials.

The suspect then reportedly fled, but was later caught by law enforcement, according to officials on scene.

“We have one in custody,” Turner said.
