Parolee At Large Taken Into Custody In Saugus

Deputies arrested a parolee at large out of Orange County at a Saugus home Wednesday afternoon, officials said.

Around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, deputies received information that an at-large parolee was at a residence on the 27800 block of Sycamore Creek Drive in Saugus, said Shirley Miller, a spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

Deputies set up a containment around the residence and a helicopter overhead in an effort to make sure if the wanted person fled, they could have sufficient resources at the scene to capture him, according to officials.

“COPS Bureau Parole Compliance Team and SCV Sheriff’s deputies took Jonathan Flinn into custody on a warrant,” Miller said.

Flinn was a parolee at large out of Orange County and had a no-bail warrant issued for his arrest, in addition to an extensive criminal history, Miller said.

The parolee was arrested and transported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, where he was booked with no bail, according to arrest records.

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
