Deputies are investigating a Santa Clarita shooting after an “unconscious” man was brought to the hospital Sunday morning. 

Around 3:15 a.m. Sunday, deputies received reports of a shooting victim in the emergency room of Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital on McBean Parkway, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. 

The victim was suffering a gunshot wound, and was unconscious,” Arriaga said. 

“Deputies arrived on scene and identified the victim to be a male Hispanic. Deputies were unable to speak to the male at the time due to his present medical state.”

As of the publication of this article, no additional information is available, according to Arriaga.
