The Santa Clarita Valley saw 26 arrests over the weekend, ranging from driving under the influence to attempted burglary.

Between Friday, June 6, and Sunday, June 8, 26 arrests were made by deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station and officers with the California Highway Patrol (CHP) Newhall Area Office.

Some of the notable arrests over the weekend included five arrests for drunk driving, two of which were residents of Santa Clarita, two from Palmdale, and one from Long Beach.

In addition to these, two arrests were made for vehicles that were taken without the owners consent.

Another notable arrest from over the weekend included one person taken into custody for alleged attempted rape.

Other arrests that were made over the weekend included attempted burglary from a vehicle, driver without a license, and various charges related to controlled substances.

Of the 26 arrests, 11 of those were residents of the Santa Clarita Valley.
