Alexandra Smee, 32, of Saugus, was initially arrested just before 5 p.m. Sunday on a misdemeanor charge for being under the influence of a controlled substance, according to Shirley Miller, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

Smee was released from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station jail just before 1 a.m. Monday.

Ten minutes after her release, deputies caught her allegedly stealing an unknown amount of money from a donation jar in the Sheriff’s Station lobby for “999 for Kids,” a nonprofit organization that assists children in need.

Deputies arrested Smee for the second time in less than 12 hours, charged her with petty theft and vandalism and put her back into the station’s jail.

Bail was set at $100,000, Miller said.

  1. OH! That wasn’t a cab fare jar. My mistake, sorry. Now if I were illegal, You would have given me a ride to my safe place and a few bucks to hold me over until I overdose and die.

    • Thanks for making me laugh. Love your sarcasm. How much will it cost tax payers to house her for petty theft? Doesn’t sound like she even made it out of the lobby. Crime? DA won’t even waste his time on this one.

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
