Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Deputies tracked a tablet to Rock Rose Lane in Canyon Country after a man had items stolen out of his vehicle Saturday night.

“One of the items swiped from his parked car was an electronic tablet. The victim was able to remotely track the tablet to an address on Rock Rose Lane,” read a post on the SCV Station Facebook page. “He drove over to the address and saw that the garage door was open, and guess what he saw inside — some of his stolen items.”

After deputies were notified, they went over to the Rock Rose Lane address in Canyon Country, and were able to recover the victim’s property from the garage.

“Inside the residence, deputies found several bags of brand-new merchandise that still had the price tags attached. A 35-year-old unemployed woman, who lived at the address, was unable to provide receipts for the items or explain to deputies how she obtained them,” said Sheriff’s officials.

Jimena Dominguez, 35, was arrested, transported, and booked at SCV Sheriff’s Station. She is facing multiple felony charges including Receiving Stolen Property.
