A transient was arrested after he allegedly attempted to remove a window covering to an apartment in Valencia.

Around 1 p.m. Wednesday, deputies responded to an attempted burglary call in the 24500 block of Town Center Drive in Valencia, said Deputy Mariela Picard, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“Deputies detained a male suspect, a local transient, matching the description provided by the victim,” Picard said. “The victim observed the suspect attempting to remove a window covering and believed he was trying to enter the apartment unlawfully.”

Patrick Audette, 39, a transient, was arrested for attempted burglary, according to Picard.

He was booked into the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station jail without bail, according to Picard.
