A Tucson man was arrested Monday morning after allegedly fighting with deputies, one of which sustained minor injuries in Castaic.

At around 9 a.m. Monday morning deputies made contact with a man in a possible vehicle theft investigation at 31675 Castaic Road, according to Deputy Natalie Arriaga with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“As they attempted to detain the male, he became uncooperative leading to a brief struggle,” said Arriaga.

Deputies were able to detain the man, but a deputy sustained minor injuries.

Both the deputy and the man were treated by medical personnel at the scene, according to Arriaga. Nobody was taken to the hospital.

Shuan Dinan, 38, from Tucson Arizona was arrested and booked for obstructing an officer and remains in custody as of Tuesday.
