A wanted suspect accused of forging a work check was apprehended after two weeks of searching.
On Thursday, Oct. 13, deputies responded to the 27300 block of Sierra Highway in Canyon Country regarding a forgery report call for service, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“Upon arrival, deputies learned a former employee forged a check to be deposited in his name for more than what was originally written on the check,” Arriaga said.
At the time of the report taken, the suspect remained outstanding, Arriaga added.
On Wednesday, after continued investigation, the suspect was ultimately arrested by the Crime Impact Team and booked into the SCV Sheriff’s Station.
Raffi Khodagulyan, 28, of Valencia, was later released on bond.
