Wanted ‘Parolee-At-Large’ Gives False Name To Deputies After Canyon Country Arrest

A wanted “parolee-at-large” attempted to give deputies a false name Monday after being arrested in Canyon Country on felony weapons charges.

On Monday morning, deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station’s Crime Prevention Unit (CPU) patrolled several areas off of Sierra Highway in Canyon Country after being contacted by several concerned residents over “possible narcotics activity” in their condominium complex.

“While driving through the complex, they observed an adult male who was acting suspiciously near vehicles,” wrote Shirley Miller, spokesperson for the station, in an official post Monday. “Due to recent thefts from vehicles, deputies made contact with the adult male.”

After making contact with the man, deputies reportedly found that he was in possession of a “dirk/dagger,” prompting them to arrest him on felony weapons charges.

However, when deputies brought the man to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station for booking, they discovered that the suspect had “provided a false name to deputies.”

“His identity was really that of a wanted ‘parolee-at-large,’” Miller wrote. “The suspect is now facing additional charges and his parole officer has been notified of his whereabouts.”

The identity of the man was not made available as of Monday evening.

  1. Wow, interesting! As usual, Michael Brown didn’t report much!! Didn’t show face, name, etc., where from, gangs?! Long baggy pants with all over tattoos!? Interesting!

  2. It appears the suspect did not resist arrest and got into the crusier un harmed. Take a lesson Africian Americans, and black sympathizers.

  3. Yeah Chris what’s wrong with you? Only the whites are intelligent, civilized, and law-abiding. The rest of them are a bunch of lawless savages that need to be contained. Welcome to the 1800s. Yeah these people live here in this little valley. These folks are intellectually superior and most be respected for their intellectual prowess. We are all in awe of their superiority and civility.

  4. Chris: I don’t know if afraid is the proper word—They’re always on “alert” while stopping anyone, especially if it’s a wanted Parole at large with long baggy shorts and tons of tattoos from neck to toe! He didn’t “resist” and make problems worse!
HaySuess C.: Why are 2 POC groups always having problems with LE and life?!?! Why don’t the other POC groups (Japanese, Chinese, Koreans, Filipinos, Vietnamese, etc.) always having problems with LE and in life?!?!

  5. Pretty funny how one guy getting arrested and giving a false name is actually news around here! Must be nothing to do today. This happens all the time in the valley or in the city, (and everywhere else) and is no big whoop. Here, it’s like WOW! Somebody gave a false name! My God! ROFL!
