A Burbank woman was arrested for felony DUI following a Canyon Country crash that sent two people to the hospital Friday.

Around 12:40 p.m. Friday, California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers received reports of a two-vehicle crash on Sierra Highway and Vasquez Canyon Road in Canyon Country involving a Honda Accord and a Hyundai Sedan, said Officer Carlos Burgos-Lopez, spokesperson for the CHP Newhall Area Office.

“Two occupants were transported to Henry Mayo Hospital due to their injuries,” Burgos-Lopez said.  

Following the officers’ investigation, it was determined that one of the drivers was under the influence.

Jennifer Phillips, 49, from Burbank, was arrested for felony DUI due to others being injured in the collision.

Phillips was booked into the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station jail.
