Three schools in the district will be closed Thursday out of an abundance of caution. Due to the uncertainty of fire evacuation areas, SUSD is closing West Creek Academy, Tesoro del Valle Elementary, Mountainview Elementary, and the District Office on Thursday, Jan. 23.

The remainder of Saugus Union School District Schools will be open for regular school hours on Thursday, January 23, 2025.

“The fire conditions continue to change throughout the evening and night.  District staff will continue monitoring the status of the fire, evacuation areas, etc. for any possible changes in individual school status.  Should there be a change in status, we will notify those individual sites via Parent Square,” Hawkins said.
