Smile Train, an organization providing free cleft repair surgery and comprehensive cleft care for children, will be the concert beneficiary at this event. For each ticket sold, $50 will be donated to Smile Train to help provide new smiles and opportunities for children with clefts.
This life-changing surgery and associated care will help change a child’s life by giving them the ability to eat, breathe, speak and smile.
“We were deeply touched when we found out with a simple $250 you can give a new life to a child,” said Oksana’s husband and manager Alex Concas.
Oksana, a newly minted Valencia resident, has traveled the world entertaining US troops and UN officials, and has had the chance to perform for Sir Elton John, Angelina Jolie, Andrea Bocelli, Oprah Winfrey and other A-list celebrities.
An entrepreneur as well as a musician, she has founded companies that offer music lessons, foreign language instruction and independent tutoring for children in the Los Angeles area, as well as around the world through the use of Skype, according to Concas.
A master instructor for all ages, Oksana founded the Oksana School of Music & Art in 2006, serving Valencia, Beverly Hills, Rancho Palos Verdes and Los Angeles.
The benefit concert will feature all-original music composed by Oksana, with a special guest performance by award-winning singer/songwriter Rob Murat, giving music lovers plenty of reasons to smile while helping support million of children with clefts through Smile Train.
The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5, at The Paseo Club in Valencia. The cost to attend the event is $100 per person and will include a three-course fine-dining meal.
