Nola Aronson Recognized On ‘The Senior Hour’ For Contribution To New Senior Center

Advanced Audiology’s Nola Aronson was recognized by the hosts of “The Senior Hour” on KHTS this month for her contribution to the brand new Bella Vida Senior Center in Santa Clarita.

“Nola made a contribution to Bella Vida for a room where the activities and volunteer coordinators will be, and that room will help to make sure that the services that we provide are done much more efficiently,” said Dr. Gene Dorio, who co-hosts the show with Barbara Cochran. “We thank you for that, Nola. (It’s) one of the many, many things that you do in our community.”

The long-anticipated Bella Vida Senior Center was able to open its doors on Golden Valley Road in April thanks to donors like Aronson, whose significant contributions to the project helped make the new 30,000-square-foot center possible.

“I felt really good about doing that because I think our Senior Center is so important,” Aronson said, adding that watching the new location hold its grand opening was “beyond words.”

“I wouldn’t necessarily have to say it was a senior center anymore — it’s really a center for our community, but places where seniors go,” Aronson continued. “There are so many activities and so many things that can be done there.”

The center features a variety of amenities, including a banquet hall that can seat over 250 people, a fireplace lounge/library, six multi-purpose rooms, a fitness center and dance studio and an outdoor cabana with concert seating, according to center officials.

“It’s like a home away from home, so I think we’re really lucky to have this,” Aronson said. “I’m a senior, and I’m going to use it.”

Aronson’s decision to contribute to the Bella Vida Senior Center is part of her ongoing efforts to give back to the community, which include sponsoring countless nonprofit events and donating a portion of proceeds from her hearing aid sales at Advanced Audiology to local nonprofits.

“When you buy a hearing device from us, we not only help you to hear better, but we take 10 percent of our hearing aid proceeds and we give it back to our community,” Aronson said in a previous interview with KTHS. “So actually you are also giving back to your community.”

  1. Nola has provided care for our family, my grandmother a long time community activist helping with the first community senior center in Newhall.
One thing Nola left out in the interview is the great care and service they provide at Advanced Audiology. Giving back to the community is a definite plus, but having an audiologist who listens, programs your aids, and continues to work for better hearing for each patient makes each of us feel very special. Advanced Audiology provides the best services in the valley for those of us with hearing loss. Thank you Advanced Audiology, and thank you for giving back to our community!
