Another measure that was defeated was District Measure FD, called a Fire Protection Special Tax Measure. County Measure R passed with a 71.17 percent yes and 28.83 percent no vote.

These numbers are the “uncertified” results provided by the state of California, with the final results expected to be released within 30 days of the election.

  1. Thank you smart property owners, who weren’t swayed by the smoke and mirror wording of the bill writers and not listening to the Governor Newsum. Ask him how our gasoline tax after its being robbed for the high speed rail project. How well have all the bills and and the Lottery worked for the schools funding. Where is the money going?

  2. David Melnarik was clearly duped by proponents of Measure US. STEAM instruction was used to trick the voters. Into a Yes vote. Measure US would have increased voted indebtedness and layered higher taxes over the top of those approved by voters who generously approved Measure CK in 2012. There was no specific project list and the District failed to maintain a Citizens Bond Oversight Committee for CK. The voters were smart to fail this bond proposal.
