Saugus Girls Cross-Country Ranked Second In Final Division 1 Regular Season Poll

The CIF Southern Section (CIF-SS) released its final regular season cross country rankings and the Saugus girls team came in as the second-ranked team in Division 1.

News of their rankings came on the heels of the Foothill League Finals meet last week which saw the Saugus Varsity girls claim their 14th consecutive league title.

Saugus junior Hannah Fredricks was the individual champion of the meet and looks poised to lead the Centurions into the postseason with state title and national title aspirations.

The Centurion girls finished the Foothill League season with an unbeaten 15-0 league record.

Other Foothill League teams ranked in the poll included the Valencia girls team at 16th in Division 1 and the Hart boys team ranked 15th in Division 2.

The CIF-SS prelims begin Friday at Riverside Championship Course and run through Saturday.

Additional information about the event is available here, the heat schedule is available here, and the final polls are available here.
