A child was airlifted to a nearby hospital Monday evening after reportedly falling into a pool in Stevenson Ranch.

Just before 5:25 p.m. Monday, officials with the Los Angeles County Fire Department received reports of a medical emergency on Woodsworth Lane in Stevenson Ranch.

“It came in as a drowning call,” said Supervisor Rangel with the department.

Initial reports indicate that a child fell into a nearby pool, prompting the response from first responders.

One individual was airlifted to a nearby hospital as a result of the incident, according to Rangel.

The exact condition of that individual was unknown as of Monday evening.
