At around 1:41 p.m. Monday, officials with the Los Angeles County Fire Department received reports of a medical emergency on Aguadero Place in Saugus, according to Leslie Lua, dispatch supervisor with the department.

“It was a difficulty breathing call,” Lua said.

Units arrived on scene four minutes after they received the initial call, where they deemed that the individual was in need of an airlift, according to officials.

That person was then transported to Central Park, where LACoFD Helicopter 16 picked them up and airlifted them to a nearby hospital, according to officials.

The age and condition of the individual was unknown as of Monday afternoon.

  1. I want to thank you so very much for your respect to our family as these events unfolded.

I was forwarded your footage from this interview and as I watched it I was concerned you were going to show my family. The words thank you do not seem big enough to repay the integrity that you used that day for a very delicate situation.

    Thank you again,
    Randy Ashburn
