The Newhall Fire in Santa Clarita broke out near Faith Community Church Thursday night, prompting a response from the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
UPDATE (10:04 p.m.): Forward progress was halted on the Newhall Fire shortly after 10:01 p.m. Thursday.
No injuries were reported, and no structures were reportedly damaged as a result of the blaze.
Original Post: At around 9:39 p.m. Thursday, officials with the Los Angeles County Fire Department received reports of a brush fire near the 23600 block of Newhall Avenue in Newhall.
When officials arrived on scene, they found that the blaze was an acre in size, according to Supervisor Choi with the department.

Initial reports indicate that nearby power lines may be involved in the incident.
No injuries had been reported as of 10 p.m. Thursday.
