UPDATE: Second Child Dies In Fiery Stevenson Ranch Crash

The second child in a fiery Stevenson Ranch crash earlier this week has died Wednesday, officials said.

The 2-year-old succumbed to their injuries on Wednesday at the hospital after the Stevenson Ranch crash, according to Officer Josh Greengard with the California Highway Patrol Newhall Area Office.

“The child passed away at the hospital,” Greengard said.

On Monday, 6-year-old Kathleen Lopez, of Bakersfield, was declared dead as a result of the crash, said Sarah Ardalani, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Medical-Examiner Coroner’s Office.

The identity of the other victim has not been released as of Wednesday afternoon.

On Monday around 9:45 a.m., first responders received reports of a traffic collision involving fire on The Old Road near Pico Canyon Road, Greengard said.

The vehicle was reportedly traveling northbound on The Old Road at a high rate of speed, Greengard said.

For unknown reasons, the driver veered left into the southbound lanes, losing control of the vehicle as it struck a curb, a sign and traffic signal, according to CHP officials.

The vehicle then crossed the intersection of Pico Canyon Road, where it struck another traffic signal, a tree and an Edison box before catching fire, according to officials.

All of the occupants were pulled from the vehicle by good Samaritans, Greengard said.

A mom and her two children, ages 6 and 2, were transported to the hospital, where both children succumbed to their injuries, according to officials.

The mother sustained major injuries in the crash, but is now in stable condition, according to CHP officials.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call the CHP Newhall Area Office at 661-294-5540.

  1. Many holes in this story .

-Why was she driving so fast
    – Why did she flee the scene leaving her kids behind
    – Why didnt she have clothes on
Where was she coming from and where was she going
Why is it reported that shes not in custody and in stable condition from another news outlet

  2. Do we still have the firing squad?

  3. We live just up the hill from where this happened, put flowers on the site last night. It is heartbreaking on so many levels. That woman will never get over this. We wondered if perhaps she ran out of the house with no clothing due to some emergency and just put the kids in the car without securing them? Just theorizing, but whatever happened it’s a complete tragedy. May those sweet souls rest in peace.

  4. What in the selfish #Libtard c*nt ?!?!

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
