A Newhall crash sent one person to the hospital Sunday evening after colliding with a pole, officials said.

Just before 5 p.m., first responders received reports of a traffic collision on the 25000 block of Railroad Avenue in Newhall, just south of Oak Ridge Drive, according to Art Marrujo, dispatch supervisor with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

“No one was trapped,” Marrujo said.

A vehicle that was involved in the collision struck a light pole, causing it to come down, according to officials.

“One person was taken to the hospital,” Marrujo said.

As of the publication of this article, the right lane on the northbound side of Railroad Avenue was blocked while crews work to clean up the wreckage.
