A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Valencia Monday morning.

Around 9 a.m. first responders received reports of a traffic collision involving a pedestrian near McBean Parkway and Decoro Drive in Valencia, said Dispatch Cpt. Sampang, with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“It was a traffic collision involving a pedestrian,” Sampang said.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead on arrival, according to officials.

Sheriff’s officials remain on scene as they investigate the collision.
The identity of the person killed has not been released pending the next of kin.
