Two individuals were sent to the hospital early Tuesday morning after a rollover 14 Freeway crash, officials said.
Around 12:02 a.m. Tuesday, first responders received reports of a traffic collision with persons trapped on the northbound 14 Freeway near Newhall Avenue, said Sky Cornell, an inspector for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“Reports were the vehicle went over the rail and had smoke coming from it,” Cornell said.
Law enforcement worked alongside fire officials to free an individual trapped in one of the cars, according to officials.
“By 12:27, all victims were extricated,” Cornell said.
Two individuals were transported to the hospital as a result of the crash, according to Cornell.
Officers with the California Highway Patrol Newhall Area office conducted a field sobriety test on the driver of the vehicle, however, the results were not available, according to an official on scene.
The condition of the two patients is unknown as of Tuesday morning, according to Fire officials.
