The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors approved a plan Tuesday that would keep the road open as long as the weather permits.

Going forward, the plan approved Tuesday calls for the road to be checked daily, when no rain is in the forecast that week. A county official would be able to temporarily open the road under dry conditions.
