Thunderstorms with showers have been forecast for Santa Clarita this week, with the storm expected to lighten through the weekend, officials said Monday.
Monday is expected to be mostly cloudy with a slight chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon and in the evening, as well as a 40 percent chance of showers after midnight, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Tuesday and Wednesday are forecast to continue this trend, with a slight chance of thunderstorms in the morning and afternoon.
Tuesday morning has a 50 percent chance of rain and the evening has 70 percent chance of rain. Wednesday has a 70 percent chance of showers with highs in the 50s and a slight chance of thunderstorms in the evening.
Cloudy days and clear nights are forecast through the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
