Triple-digit temperatures are back in the Santa Clarita weather forecast, along with a 15 to 20 percent chance of thunderstorms, officials said Monday.
While triple-digit temperatures are not expected forecasted Monday, officials expect temperatures to reach over 100 degrees by Tuesday, said Keily Delerme, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.
“For Santa Clarita, we don’t have any triple digits for today,” Delerme said Monday. “For tomorrow we could reach 100 degrees.”
Temperatures are expected to peak on Wednesday at 103 degrees, making it the hottest day of the week, according to officials.
There is also a chance to see thunderstorms throughout the Santa Clarita Valley, which raises the risk for brush fires.
“There is a 15 to 20 percent chance for thunderstorms in the mountains and foothills,” Delerme said.
By Thursday, temperatures are expected to lower back to the mid 90s through the weekend and into next week.
