Detectives responded to the 19000 block of Pleasantdale Street to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a male adult and a female adult.
The individuals were found deceased on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at approximately 6:15 p.m.
When homicide detectives arrived, they learned that Santa Clarita deputies responded to the location to check on the welfare of the residents. The informant in the call stated they had not seen the residents of the home for several weeks and there was a strong odor emitting from the home.
Once deputies arrived on scene, they checked the location and discovered a male adult and a female adult inside the home. Both individuals were deceased and in the advanced stages of decomposition.

No foul play is suspected at this time.
An autopsy will be conducted on both victims and the exact cause of death will be determined by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner.
