A person who was reportedly drowning at a Castaic pool was transported to the hospital Tuesday afternoon, officials said.
Around 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, first responders received reports of a person drowning at the Castaic Aquatic Center on the 31000 block of Castaic Road in Castaic, said Austin Bennett, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“We received reports the person was at the bottom of the pool,” Bennett said.
Lifeguards at the scene were able to pull the person out of the water and reported to responding paramedics he was conscious and breathing, and therefore did not actually drown, Bennett said.
“One person was transported to the hospital,” Bennett said.
The condition of the patient is unknown as of Tuesday afternoon, according to officials.

We were there when this happened. My friend and I prayed while the lifeguards worked on him. Can’t help wondering how he is. Are there any updates?
