Action Drug Rehab Hour – Testing Pills For Fentanyl – December 19, 2022

On this episode of The Action Drug Rehab Hour, Cary Quashen welcomes in Jade and Louie from KHTS as he brings in counterfeit drugs containing fentanyl that the group tests live on the air.

Cary begins the show by mentioning how another local parent reached out to let him know that her child  has passed away due to a drug overdose. The same parent reached out just two months earlier to tell him that her other child had passed away. Cary says that the pandemic continues and shows no mercy to any victims because their is no bargaining with drugs, especially fentanyl.

Cary then takes the counterfeit pills out to show them to the viewing audience. Most notably are how they appear identical to legitimate pills, making it impossible to distinguish between a over the counter prescribed opioid for a pressed pill that could contain a lethal amount of fentanyl. In fact, the pills that Cary tests in studio were described as xanax, however, after performing a test on them, it is revealed that they were in fact fentanyl.

Listen to the entire show here as Cary, Jade, and Louie discuss the fentanyl epidemic.
