Keeping Covid-19 In Mind — June 3, 2020

On this episode of the Providence Holy Cross Health Hour with Tom Burton, PT, Tom starts the show talking about the missions statement of Providence Holy Cross and how they have a commitment to serving everyone who walks through their doors. In light of the recent death of George Floyd, Tom takes some time to reiterate that Providence St. Joseph Health systems across the country are open to serve everyone without any hesitations or questions regarding their race or gender. Tom also takes some time to talk about how Providence Holy Cross has done an internal check-up on their staff to make sure all of their personnel who have worked so hard are remaining healthy. Tom shares some websites and resources people can use to stay informed on the status of Covid-19 in Santa Clarita and around the world. With the recent events taking place in the United States, news on Covid-19 has taken a backseat and Tom wants to make sure people still know where to go to find the most recent information.

Tom also takes some time to talk about reopening Santa Clarita, and how businesses around the valley are taking steps to get ready for a full reopening. Although certain social distancing measures will still be in place, restaurants will be able to have people back in their restaurants. Tom talks about how restaurants have been working in a similar way that doctors have by sharing their ideas and innovations with one another so they can all get back to work safer. Listen in as Tom talks about the latest information regarding Covid-19.
