Guardians SCV Patriots Day Car Show & Breakfast Honors Lasting Memory Of 9/11

Guardians SCV hosted its annual Guardians Patriots Day Car Show in Valencia this weekend to reflect on the event of 9/11.

On Saturday, September 6th, Guardians SCV hosted its annual Guardians Patriot Day Car Show at Higher Vision Church to remember the lost lives and valiant efforts of Patriots day .

Vibrant vintage and colorful cars lined the parking lot for people to admire while munching on donuts and coffee provided by staff. Adjacent to that was the vendors and sponsor tents giving away free goodies and socializing with guests.

The first speaker, Jennifer Herring, gave a thoughtful speech about the importance of this event, “It’s a part of who we are, and this event gives us all the opportunity to come together and say thank you. And also remember the brave men and women that gave everything, making the ultimate sacrifice.”

Dave Champagne performed emotional tunes on his bagpipe, giving patrons a moment to think about the lives taken away by the tragic event.

Color guard carried in flags and guns while the choir sang a sweet rendition of the national anthem commemorating America.

This sentiment was followed by the tolling of the bell to give gratitude and remembrance for the fallen victims and first responders and law enforcement helping during 9/11.

“We all pulled together as Americans that day and said, we are not going to be defeated by these acts of terrorism. And we committed as Americans to rise together from the ashes of this catastrophic event and became an even stronger America.” – Tim Herring

The Guardians SCV mission is to bring together like-minded individuals with similar backgrounds and experiences in the Military, Law Enforcement and Firefighter professions with a focus on building strong relationships and fostering personal growth with reflection and transparency.

“What have American people learned from 9/11? Never say never,” said retired sergeant Bob Keller.
