An alleged bomb threat in Canyon Country Friday morning was deemed false.

Around 8:30 a.m. Friday, deputies responded to a bomb threat on the 28000 block of Langside Avenue in Canyon Country, said Sgt. Martinez with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

Deputies arrived on scene and found a replica bomb, according to Martinez.

As of the publication of this article, Sheriff’s officials were unable to confirm if a criminal investigation would be launched.
