Man Arrested After Being In Possession Of Brass Knuckles At Valencia Home Depot

A man was arrested for allegedly being in possession of brass knuckles after asking people for car keys at the Valencia Home Depot Friday.

Around 1:30 p.m. Friday, deputies received reports of a suspicious person at The Home Depot on the 28000 block of Newhall Ranch Road in Valencia, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“It was reported a male adult was acting suspicious by going in and out of a business asking people for car keys,” Arriaga said.

Deputies arrived and were directed to the suspect, according to Arriaga.

“He was detained without incident,” Arriaga said.

When deputies searched the man they found brass knuckles, Arriaga said.

Robert Stanson, 48, from Oceanside, was arrested for being in possession of brass knuckles, a felony, Arriaga added.

Stanson was booked into the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station and remains in custody as of Monday morning, according to Arriaga.

  1. Home Depot calls the Newhall Ranch Road location the Newhall store. Valencia is NOT a place. It is a trademark of the Newhall Land & Farming Co. and successor entities.

  2. Wonderful, Oceanside has been remodeling, upgrading & cleaning up the entire area, so they probably kicked his Bum A$$ out of there, so he chooses to defile SCV. Brass knuckles means he has been or planning to be in a brutal fight!

Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
