No Evidence Of Crime Found After Reports Of Gunshots In Canyon Country

At least two individuals were detained Sunday after officials received reports of gunshots in Canyon Country, only for deputies to find no evidence of a crime, officials said.

Around 11:35 a.m. Sunday, deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station received reports of gunshots near the 18000 block of Wellhaven Street in Canyon Country, according to officials with the station.

Initial reports indicate that three shots had been fired. When deputies got on scene, two individuals, one male and one female, were detained at gunpoint, according to officials on scene.

Deputies proceeded to clear a home on Wellhaven St., where they found no evidence of a crime taking place.

No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
