Teenager Hospitalized After Being Struck With Firearm In Newhall

A teenager was taken to the hospital late Wednesday night after reportedly being physically struck by a firearm.

Just after 11:50 p.m. Thursday, first responders with the Los Angeles County Fire Department received reports of a possible gunshot victim off of Via Canon near Costa Brava in Newhall.

“The report was that an 18-year-old male was struck by a gunshot,” said Supervisor Pittman with the department. “It turns out that he was not shot, but someone hit him with the firearm.”
