What: The race is an “out and back” course that begins at Mentryville Park and takes you in front of Charles Mentry’s grand 13-room mansion, a one-room schoolhouse and a period barn. The course is mostly on newly paved asphalt and the elevation climb is about 330 feet. Due to this elevation gain, the course is considered moderate to difficult. Awards and raffle prizes will follow shortly after the race.

What: Mary Zimmerman’s “The Secret in the Wings” adapts a group of lesser-known fairy tales to create a theatrical work that sets their dark mystery against her signature wit and humor. The framing story concerns a child and the frightening babysitter with whom her parents leave her. As the babysitter reads from a book, the characters in each of the tales materialize, with each tale breaking off just at its bleakest moment before giving way to the next one.

  1. WOW! What a fabulous town. So many events I certainly need the events Santa Clarita provides, now if I can behave like a gentleman, I can get a cultural mind instead of what’s in the memory now. Just praying, Covid – 19 is under control at opening time, and I have the strength to attend.
