One person was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries Wednesday afternoon after they drove their vehicle off of Highway 126 in Castaic.

Just before 2 p.m. Wednesday, officials with the Los Angeles County Fire Department received reports of a traffic collision near the intersection of Henry Mayo Drive and Commerce Center Drive in Castaic.

“The vehicle came off Highway 126,” said Marvin Lim, spokesperson for the department.

Officials arrived on scene at 2:04 p.m., where they discovered a Honda Civic overturned off of the side of Highway 126.

The driver of the vehicle suffered minor injuries to his arms, and was transported to a local hospital for treatment, according to a California Highway Patrol officer on scene.

The westbound side of Henry Mayo Dr. was temporarily blocked off as first responders worked to clear the incident.
