During this time, the westbound lane on Golden Valley Road will be closed as needed for concrete trucks that require access to the project site.
Traffic control devices, signage and flaggers will be placed to guide both westbound and eastbound traffic through the one lane traffic controlled area.
The city will place changeable message signs, or CMS boards, in the area to alert drivers of the traffic delays and CHP personnel will be on site to assist with traffic.
Traffic control will extend between the freeway ramps.
The Golden Valley Road Bridge Widening Project will add an additional two lanes of travel, one in each direction, for a total of four through lanes on the bridge, as well as a dedicated left turn lane to access the southbound 14 Freeway and two left turn lanes to access the northbound 14 Freeway.
This project will also add a pedestrian walkway on the north side of the bridge and a bike path on the south side of the bridge.
