“The private cabins (are) right on the banks of the river,” Sampson said. “We have a very accomplished full-time chef that has five cooks below that supports him, ordering off of a menu every night.”

As the end of the season nears, Sampson is recommending booking cabins soon.

“We’ve got a couple rare cancellations,” Sampson says. “One in particular happened a few days ago, over the 4th of July weekend.”

If you’re looking to get away from the Santa Clarita Valley, the lodge has cabins open for the 4th of July weekend.

“We have three cabins available,” Sampson said. “We do the greatest fireworks show and all Americana barbeque you’ve ever seen — it’s a ton of fun.”

Whether it would be a vacation get away or for the holiday weekend, Sampson encourages people to book soon before the season ends.

“That’s one of the opportunities,” he said. “There’s more cabins sprinkled through the season so we really encourage to give us a call.”
