In observance of the Fourth of July, Waste Management of Santa Clarita is set to delay collection services one day for those who receive the service on Thursday and Friday, according to officials.
The delays include service for residential trash, recycling and green waste pick-up, as well as bin service for multifamily customers.
Waste Management operations will be closed on Thursday, July 4, with normal operations resuming on Friday, July 5.
Residents in Santa Clarita with Thursday service are asked to place their carts out for pickup on Friday, and customers with Friday service on Saturday.
Waste Management also ask customers who will be barbecuing with charcoal to allow for coals to cool for at least 48 hours before disposing in the trash.
For those grilling with propane, tanks require special handling and should never be disposed of in the trash, recycling or green waste, officials added.
